First post!

Alright, so here we go... another stab at this "blogging" thing. The old moblog (which can be found here) was just too annoying to use. For one thing, the picture quality sucked on my phone: a fact you could not only tell in the thumbnails, but could especially see when they were "blown up". Second, it's just a hassle to sit there with my phone going through the process of sending the image to the blog. Third, I couldn't actually enter any real content to my blog other than the title. Which meant making meaningful (or as meaningful as a blog can be :)) posts required going through the whole process of sending the photo, then going to the website, logging in, finding the post, editing the post and adding text.

Like I said, annoying.

So here I am. I'm not sure whether blogspot or livejournal will be my new home, and I think for now I might dual-post just to play with both sites for a while before retiring one of them. We'll see how this goes.

In other news, I probably also won't be able to update this for a week while I go to Arizona next week for the Amateur Worlds. I hold no flase pretense of trying to win while I'm out there, but it's going to be one hell of a good time: if nothing else because I won't be in work for a week!
