So many projects

First off, let me just say that I'm praying my future daughter is a good sleeper. I've been having issues feeling well-rested recently, so much so that this past Sunday night I fell asleep on the couch before 8:30: Jen woke me up at 9:30 so that I could take my contacts out and go to bed upstairs, which I did, and stayed there until 7:30 the next morning. And I still felt like I could have slept more. I'm not sure what's up with that, maybe driving to/from Saratoga on saturday wore me out more than I thought.

Speaking of which, after moving my brother-in-law into his new apartment this past weekend (for a job starting a week from yesterday), he got a call last night saying the project he was being hired to work on was dropped. So, effectively, he no longer has a job. Ain't that peachy? Fortunately it sounds like his about-to-be employer is trying to work with him right now since he told them he had already moved to the area, since they might be able to find another position within their company or simply help him find another job outright. Fun fact: they knew the project was dropped at the end of last week, but neglected to let the new hires for the project know that until after the weekend. GG guys :P

Right now I'm gearing up for the end of disc golf season and the start of BloodBowl season. I have to finish the trophy for the league, which involves finding a pedestal for the trophy itself and getting the plaques engraved. I have to finish painting my team before league starts (first weekend of November). I have to finish my pitch - cutting the rest of the walls to the pitch, mounting them, cutting/mounting the dugout rails, polyurethaning the whole thing, cutting out pieces of the velour grass mat to size, creating templates for the dugouts/pitch design itself, cutting those templates out, painting the templates onto the grass mat - and finally deciding how the hell to get the turn markers, score markers, and reroll markers onto the pitch. A whole lot of creative craft work that all needs to be done in less than 2 months' time. The team doesnt necessarily need to be finished, but I really want this pitch done. If I ever had a free weekend, it would make this projects a lot easier to work on.

NH States this weekend... let's hope for better weather than the monsoon we got last year, it was damn near impossible to hold onto the discs. But hey, I wasn't doing as bad as some if I won it last year, huh? hehe. Wish me luck!
