Househunting

So this past Saturday, Jen and I signed the final pre-approval papers for a mortgage. We now have 60 days from that date to close on a house. If that doesn't happen, we can always reapply, but we'd rather not have to go through all the paperwork again. So yeah, no pressure. We've been looking around as it is, checked out some Open Houses and stuff - on Sunday we took a drive around one of the areas we're looking at to just do some drive-bys of homes that looked promising that we were sent from one realtor we're talking to (at the moment, we're not under contract working with any one particular realtor though). We crossed three of the five off our list, but still really liked two of them - REALLY liked one of them, too. This morning I called the realtor to see if we could get a walk-through, and was told that home was already off the market. It was listed Tuesday of last week, had three walk-throughs on Wednesday, and had an accepted offer made on Thursday. What the fuck. :( There's more homes out there and I'm sure we'll find one, but that news wasn't a happy start of my Monday.

I've never really sat down to watch the show 'Robot Chicken' on Cartoon Network (during Adult Swim) but I think I may have to start after being sent this link. That's just freaking hilarious.

In other news, my wrist seems to be feeling better. I saw a hand specialist last Friday who told me that without X-Rays, it so far looks like it at least isn't a fracture. Yay! But she did say it may be a sprained ligament and I do have another appointment with a different doc on Tuesday to have X-Rays done and see what they can tell me for sure. Quite honestly, it doesnt hurt very much today and I even played a full round of disc golf yesterday without any pain - but the pain meds my buddy gave me before the round may have helped that fact as well. Overall it's good, but I did still have a twinge of pain when I picked Kayleigh up from her crib last night. Mostly I don't want to fuck around with it if something IS wrong that I need to take care of - 27 is still too young to start crippling myself now and have a bum wrist for the rest of my life. So we'll see what happens tomorrow.
