I'm still here

I swear I still remember this blog! I just can't post something every day. That type of dedication is way beyond me ;)

This week was a week of work. Lots of it. My client site where I work 3 days a week is insane, not to mention constantly changing what they want me to do. I had a nice long sit-down with the owner of the company in regards to the direction he wanted me to go on a new divisional site he wanted me to work on - I warned him repeatedly of the pros and cons of basing the new site off of one template as opposed to the other. He chose direction A. Now, after 3 weeks, he asks if we can go in direction B. Well, YES, we can, but it's going to cost you 3 more weeks' worth of my time and you'll have thrown away 3 weeks of my time. Which is no small cost to him. In the end he aborted that idea and decided to go down the path we were heading anyway, just changing how he wanted to use the new site. Which was a blessing in disguise because the "new" usage for the site is what we should have been doing in the first place. He just needed to shoot himself in the foot before he could be convinced to go that direction.

Work in the office is crazy as well. Only having two days a week here means I'm SWAMPED trying to handle all of the clients that I can while my attention isn't focused on this single other client. Plus when my boss stays late to work on a client's site, breaks their database, and doesnt come into work until noon the next workday makes my life a living hell when the client is riding my ass all morning asking to fix what's wrong and I dont have a single clue what was done to make things break. ~sigh.

Amesbury Open this weekend - I havent been throwing well lately but I picked up some new discs earlier in the week and I'm REALLY liking some of them. So much so that even without extensive testing, some of it may get thrown this weekend. I'm crossing my fingers for a good two rounds of golf - I just need to get up and down on most holes and make my deuce runs where I can, and I should do fairly well. I have to leave the house around 5am tomorrow morning though to get to the tournament on time, which I'm none too happy with. Gonna be an early night tonight!
