Wrist Issues

This past weekend I think I did something to my wrist. After disc golfing sometimes it would be in minor discomfort, but never anything I took notice of other than "ow, that's kind of annoying". Well after my tournament on Saturday, I came back to my in-laws' place, had dinner, went to leave a room and turned the knob to the right.... owwwwwwwwwww. No good. During dinner, I couldn't even bend my wrist to bring the fork towards my mouth without being in pain either, I had to bring my head down to my food.

The real issue is... I know it's not broken. Sprained, maybe. Strained, possibly. But not broken. I feel like I should see a doctor, but I dont know what s/he's really going to tell me. Ice it and give it some rest? Maybe wear a wrist brace? I've spent the past two days wearing a stretchy carpal-tunnel wrist brace, which has helped keep my wrist mostly stable but is also a PITA to write code while wearing since the lower wrist portion has a built-in beanbag/wristpad for using a computer with - which constantly gets in the way while I'm typing. Today I actually forgot it at home after I didn't put it back on post-shower, but I'm faring ok without it. I'm just being careful. Still, I'm not sure if this is something I should just suck up and hope goes away on its own, or if I really should seek medical attention. I have a 2-day tournament coming up on Memorial Day weekend, and in order to be in the best condition to play I may have to NOT practice at all between now and then just so I don't aggravate it further. ~sigh~ We'll see what happens.

In random news, I've been turned on to using Picasa for managing my photos at home. I played around with it a bit on my in-laws' machine over the weekend, and it's a really neat piece of software; almost an iTunes for pictures, really. It's very cool because upon having it scan my entire hard drive for content, it helped me find all sorts of pictures I had no idea were still on my computer - that was very awesome since I thought some of them were gone forever.
